The Pagnan Group has been part of the Italian business fabric since 1929.

Our story is one of strength, evolution, and consistency: we have grown while keeping our core values in mind — respect for people, the local area and the environment.

We are a family-owned group guided by the vision of creating lasting value through businesses that prioritise relationships, quality, sustainability, and the well-being of the communities we serve.

Our story is rooted in the enlightened vision of the family’s forefather, Cav. del Lavoro Romano Pagnan, born in 1906. Driven by extraordinary determination and remarkable ingenuity, Romano Pagnan succeeded in building, over time, a solid business empire active on multiple fronts.

 The company he founded established itself between the 1950s and 1970s as a leader in the international trade of cereals, oilseeds and derivatives. A prominent figure in the national economic landscape, Romano was the promoter of a state-of-the-art logistics network, capable of integrating maritime, river and rail transport, and efficiently managing large volumes of goods throughout the supply chain.

In the final decades of the twentieth century, the company entered a new phase of expansion, thanks also to the contribution of the founder's children, evolving into a diversified group spanning agribusiness (farms in Italy and Argentina, livestock farming, milling and feed production), property, and hotel tourism.

Awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro in 1974, Romano Pagnan entrusted future generations with carrying forward his legacy and leading the enterprises he created with vision and responsibility.

Today, the group's activities focus on the sustainable development of family assets, with special attention to the tourism, agribusiness and real estate development sectors. Over the past few decades, our group has been able to evolve, seizing the opportunities offered by the new economy and adapting to market changes.
