agriculture
Our agricultural soul is rooted in a heritage passed down through generations, evolving over time into an innovative and responsible production model.
We cultivate hectares of land across Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Argentina, with a deep commitment to quality, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability.
We believe in regenerative agriculture — a way of farming that not only produces, but also protects and enhances the soil, the landscape, and the wellbeing of rural communities.
We invest in low-impact techniques and renewable resources. Every field we cultivate is a promise: to the land, to those who work it alongside us, and to those who will enjoy its fruits.
In Italy
We operate primarily in Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, cultivating over 1,000 hectares of land.
In the province of Ferrara, we grow rice — proudly bearing the “Po Delta PGI” designation — alongside traditional crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat.
Our main headquarters is located in Scardovari, in the province of Rovigo, where we house our administrative offices and facilities for rice and walnut processing and drying.
Here, we also cultivate sugar beets, alfalfa, durum wheat, soybeans, and corn — all part of a diversified and sustainable agricultural landscape.

In Argentina
We cultivate over 10,000 hectares in the provinces of Buenos Aires and San Luis — areas with a strong vocation for cereal crops and livestock farming.
Here, the main crops — corn, barley, sunflower, and soybeans — are rotated with free-range grazing of beef cattle.
Where water availability allows, we use pivot irrigation systems to ensure greater crop stability and resilience.
The Berignone Estate
In the heart of Tuscany, nestled on the gentle hillsides overlooking the Val d 'Elsa, the Berignone Estate tells a centuries-old story.
For many years, the estate was inhabited by local sharecroppers, but in the 1970s the entire estate – 800 hectares – was bought by the Pagnan Group, which transformed it, within a few years, into a modern agricultural and livestock farm. In the heart of the property stands the manor house, the "Fattoria", a large farmhouse once used as a hunting lodge, an inn where hunters were accommodated during their hunts.
The gentle Sienese hills rich in history produce a wonderful PDO oil
Breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable views distinguish the territory of the Municipality of Casole d'Elsa, where the Berignone Estate is located. The area is composed of gentle hills planted with vineyards, olive groves and cereals, stretching along the watershed that separates them from the upper Elsa valley in the north-western part of the Province of Siena. Of considerable environmental and historical importance, and truly evocative, are the nearby wooded areas – the Berignone and Tatti forests, from which the estate takes its name.
Close to the most important art cities – Colle Val d'Elsa, San Gimignano, Volterra, and the Chianti Classico area are just a stone's throw away – Casole d'Elsa is an ancient village, contested since the 1200s by Volterrans, Sienese, and Florentines, and caught up in the wars between the Guelphs and Ghibellines. After a year of Florentine rule, Casole was definitively annexed to the domains of Siena following the battle of Montaperti. And it is the current conformation of this medieval village, with its walls and the Sienese fortress, that reveals the soul of a disputed land and guardian of great beauty.
Tuscan olive groves and love for the land for a precious and surprising oil
In the early 1990s, about 2,400 olive trees were planted in a hilly area of the Berignone Estate. An investment motivated by the passion for a land traditionally suited to the cultivation of those extraordinary trees with silver leaves, whose fruits, expertly processed, generate one of the finest extra virgin olive oils in Italy.
Today, the Berignone Estate produces extra virgin olive oil certified PDO "Terre di Siena", in accordance with specific regulations covering the production area of the territories in the province of Siena. An extraordinary "green gold" obtained exclusively from the olive trees of the farm's old and new plant and, in particular, from the Leccino and Correggiolo varieties, whose characteristics harmonise to create an oil with surprising sensory qualities. Harvested with mechanical combs between late October and early November, the fresh and healthy olives, stored at room temperature, are delivered to an oil mill to be processed within 24 hours of harvesting, with full respect for the environment. The pressing is carried out using the cold extraction system, at a controlled temperature, to ensure a long shelf life and quality.
The result is an exceptionally fine oil with a green fruity taste.
Agripadana
Our walnut grove in Le Contane
In the heart of the countryside of Jolanda di Savoia, in the area known as Le Contane, we cultivate a 25-hectare walnut grove, established in 2019 as part of our vision for sustainable, high-value agriculture. The grove includes 19 hectares of the Lara variety and 6 hectares of Chandler.
It is equipped with precision irrigation and fertigation systems, ensuring efficiency and respect for water resources. All farming operations — from treatments to harvesting — are carried out in-house, using our own staff and machinery, to guarantee the highest level of care at every stage.
The washing, drying, and grading of the walnuts take place at our dedicated facility in Scardovari, where a controlled Industry 4.0 process enhances the product all the way to packaging.
